On October 7, sports betting will finally become a reality in Connecticut. According to Marketwatch.com, the Connecticut Lottery and Sportech have teamed up to present 15 retail sports betting gambling locations across Connecticut.

The two major casinos in Connecticut, Mohegan Sun and Foxwoods Resort Casino, have partnered with Draft Kings. In addition, FanDuel will offer online-only sports betting, which will also go live on October 7.

On Friday, August 13, Sportech PLC signed a ten-year deal with the Connecticut Lottery that will allow sports betting at specific retail locations across the state.  According to the Hartford Courant, Sportech retail sites will be located in Hartford, Waterbury, Torrington, Milford, Manchester, New Britain, New Haven, Norwalk, Stamford, and Windsor Locks.

According to actionnetwork.com, Connecticut bettors will be allowed to bet on the NFL, NBA, MLB, and the NHL. Connecticut residents will be able to bet on college sports, but not on Connecticut college teams unless they are playing in a tournament with four or more groups, like the NCAA's March Madness basketball tournaments.
