Police investigating crash on Lincoln/Smithfield border

LINCOLN, R.I. (WLNE)- Investigators from the Lincoln, Smithfield, and Rhode Island State Police Departments are on scene of a crash in Lincoln.

ABC6 crews on the scene said that one car has driven into a pole on Route 7 near Twin River Road.

Smithfield police said officers on scene were looking for the two subjects in the vehicle, who had fled the scene. The vehicle was allegedly stolen.

Police said the two subjects are now in custody.

Officers at the scene were armed with rifles.

ABC6 crews are unsure if anyone has been injured.
