In Paris last Saturday, a man walked across a 1,968-meter slackline from the Eiffel Tower to Chaillot Theatre, which is on the other side of the River Seine.
Nathan Paulin, who ironically had a childhood fear of heights, pulled off a death-defying trick as he walked on a slackline 229 feet above the ground, The New York Post reported.

The 27-year-old prepared for four years for the event, which took about half an hour to complete.
“It’s really beautiful starting from the Eiffel Tower,” he said. “During the performance, I really didn’t feel it, I really didn’t have a fear of heights.”
According to the New York Daily News, Paulin’s performance was part of the 38th European Heritage Days and the launch of the Cultural Olympiad in Paris, which was on Sept. 18.
In 2019, Paulin walked a tightrope between two skyscrapers at Paris’ La Defense business district, suspended 490 feet off the ground, the Daily News reported.
His previous record was walking a distance of about 1,700 feet.
