Moreland returned to the Athletics on Monday after being away for several days while getting alternate opinions on his wrist injury, the Associated Press reports.
The veteran has been on the injured list since Aug. 31 and doesn't yet have a firm timetable for any kind of rehab work or a return to action. Moreland was slashing an underwhelming .227/.286/.415 over 81 games prior to going on the shelf, with his season deemed a disappointment after he was expected to provide a more consistent left-handed bat.
