‘Virgin River’ Stars Ben Hollingsworth and Colin Lawrence Reveal Season 4 Will Have 12 Episodes Instead of 10

Just when we thought we couldn’t get any more good news about Virgin River, two cast members, Ben Hollingsworth and Colin Lawrence, shared another major update.

ICYMI: On Monday, Netflix revealed that the drama series had been picked up for a fourth and fifth season. Just hours later, Lawrence (John “Preacher” Middleton) and Hollingsworth (Dan Brady) revealed that the fourth installment will include 12 episodes rather than the usual ten in a clever video on Instagram.

“So excited to share with you that our little show has been picked up for two seasons!!!! Thank you all for being the best fans ever!!!!!” Lawrence wrote in the caption of the post.

“Did you just hear what I heard? Because I heard something along the lines of—I mean, are we allowed to say it now?” Hollingsworth says in the footage before Larwence adds, “We got clearance.”

Hollingsworth continues, “And we can say it out loud and not just think it? Guys. We got more of something—season four! You deserve it, you earned it. Thank you guys for watching the show.”

Lawrence then reveals that this time the new season will feature 12 episodes. “Did you just say 12?” Hollingsworth replies. “That means you might need to split it up into two days this time guys.”

Production for season four reportedly began back in July, with new episodes expected to drop around the summer of 2022. Unfortunately, no further details (such as a plot) have been revealed.

We just hope the cast keeps providing us with updates.
