Washington Capitals promotional calendar features two bobblehead nights

Hockey season is getting closer and on Tuesday the Washington Capitals announced their promotional calendar with several cool giveaways and themed nights. The all fan giveaways will include schedule magnets for Opening Night presented by Geico on Oct. 13 vs. the New York Rangers. The player bobbleheads are Tom Wilson and John Carlson.

Tom Wilson’s bobblehead giveaway is presented by Capital One and will take place on Oct. 27 vs. the Detroit Red Wings which will also mark the return of Jakub Vrana and the first matchup between him and Anthony Mantha. Nov. 14 against the Pittsburgh Penguins will mark Hockey Fights Cancer night where fans will receive a lavender “I Fight For” rally towel presented by Leidos.

Fans will also receive a festive holiday sweater t-shirt on Dec. 6 vs. the Anaheim Ducks for the annual Caps holiday party. John Carlson’s bobblehead giveaway will take place on March 22 vs. the St. Louis Blues. Capital One will sponsor that giveaway as well. On April 28 vs. the Columbus Blue Jackets all fans will get a team poster as part of Fan Appreciation Night presented by Bud Light.

Additionally, there will be a kids game on Jan. 16 vs. the Vancouver Canucks and a Youth Hockey Night on March 20 vs. the Dallas Stars which will include giveaways for youth hockey players and kids in attendance.

There will also be group ticket events where you’ll get a giveaway through the purchase of a special ticket. Those include Educators Night featuring a block calendar on Oct. 23 vs. the Calgary Flames, Scout Night with a Caps scout patch on Oct. 29 vs. the Arizona Coyotes, First Responders Night featuring a commemorative challenge coin on Nov. 8 vs. the Buffalo Sabres, Capitals Canine Night presented by Pedigree Foundation featuring a TBD item on Jan. 24 vs. the Vegas Golden Knights, Law Enforcement Appreciation Night featuring a commemorative challenge coin Jan. 26 vs. the San Jose Sharks as well as Pride Night on March 3 vs. the Carolina Hurricanes featuring a Capitals pride fanny pack. The Caps will also have college series nights with special college themed hats given away through the purchase of a special ticket. Find your school’s night here.
