Hybrid cloud management startup CloudBolt Software Inc. today announced its Summer ’21 release, featuring expansions to the company’s codeless integrations for DevOps tools for enterprise teams and hybrid cloud governance.

The expanded tools include comprehensive Google Cloud Platform support, multicloud budgeting and cost trending insights, and greater automation flexibility. The new release also brings new features to its OneFuse codeless integration platform to support even more information technology automation tools for VMware, ServiceNow, Ansible and more to help enterprise customers reduce friction.

“Our new summer release falls in line with our mission to meet customers, partners and prospects anywhere along their hybrid cloud and multicloud journey,” said Rick Kilcoyne, chief technology officer at CloudBolt. “The market wants tooling options and platform diversity. Gone are the days of a single hypervisor and public cloud.”

CloudBolt’s new cost management features include updates to its software-as-a-service solution Cloud Management Platform 9.4.6 and OneFuse 1.4. With cost automation for cost control, CloudBolt can continuously notify FinOps of real-time cost savings opportunities, while providing public cloud optimization across all major hyperscale platforms.

Budgeting capabilities include the ability to create monthly, quarterly and annual budgets and understand historical cost trends to avoid surprise cloud bills. That also adds real-time alerts for when spend thresholds are reached. “CloudBolt’s Summer ‘21 release expands cloud diversity by providing deep self-service and cost optimization for GCP, alongside the richness we have with dozens of other hypervisors and hyperscalers,” said Kilcoyne.

CloudBolt 9.4.6 now provides comprehensive visibility into enterprise GCP servers – providing information on central processing units, memory and more. It includes tagging of CGP resources by groups, users and more for better monitoring and improved blueprints to provide faster self-service provisioning with Google Storage Cloud.

The new release also provides a brand-new application programming interface framework designed to provide even greater automation flexibility. With this framework, ITOps and DevOps teams can use tools they’re already familiar with, such as ServiceNow, Terraform and others to make API calls into CloudBolt for provisioning and management.

With OneFuse 1.4, the service is expanding its support for codeless integrations with support for more modules with two new modules including two popular IT services: Microsoft IPAM and F5 BIG-IP. The release will also have new platform support for Ansible, ServiceNow, VMware vRA Cloud and CloudBolt CMP.

New to this release is the concept of “pluggable modules,” which will make integrating, creating and updating existing modules easier without needing to completely upgrade an entire OneFuse appliance.

The Summer ’21 updates to all products are now generally available to all customers.
