Single tickets have gone on sale for the Las Vegas Philharmonic (LVP) 23rd season! To make this return to live music one to remember, here’s a look at some of the upcoming concerts and events. From the sounds of Beethoven’s classics with an added modern twist to the LVP’s first three-year artist-in-residence program featuring cellist Joshua Roman, this season’s lineup is one you won’t want to miss.
The Deets
The season will feature Beethoven’s nine symphonies interwoven with works by contemporary composers including Joan Tower, Missy Mazzoli and Caroline Shaw.
The LVP will welcome back local entertainers and composers with “A Very Vegas Holiday” including Composers Showcase Founder Keith Thompson plus vocals by Eric Jordan Young, Travis Cloer, Michelle Johnson and Vita Corimbi.
Music Director Donato Cabrera will conduct a world premiere by composer Juan Pablo Contreras in partnership with New Music USA. Contreras aims to highlight the Mexican-American communities through his new orchestral work.
Cabrera and other special guests will continue to hold pre-concert conversations discussing the works and their history an hour before each performance in Reynolds Hall. He also creates playlists for each concert that is in season that can be found on their website.
The Las Vegas Philharmonic has also established its first three-year artist-in-residence program with cellist Joshua Roman, beginning Saturday, October 23 with a performance of Dvořák’s Cello Concerto.
Shuttle bus services to the shows will be offered from its Henderson location to its Summerlin location. For a roundtrip bus pass it costs $25 per concert and may be purchased along with concert tickets.
Tickets start at $29.
