‘The Problem With Jon Stewart’ Teaser: The Former ‘Daily Show’ Host Returns With A More Mature Comedic News Series

Jon Stewart hosted “The Daily Show” for almost two decades. Over that time, he developed a brand of satire that was rooted in comedy first and information second. Sure, you could watch the show and learn a bit about the news, but really, you were there to laugh. It appears that the script has been flipped somewhat with his new Apple TV+ series, “The Problem with Jon Stewart.”

As seen in the new teaser for “The Problem with Jon Stewart,” the comedian is back with a new issue-focused show. And this time, it appears Stewart is more interested in putting the comedy on the back burner and making sure the issues take over. So, yes, there is obviously comedy because Stewart is a stand-up comedian, but this new series definitely feels more mature than what he was doing on “The Daily Show.” Is that going to be something people are excited to see? Or will people be disappointed when they realize ‘The Problem’ isn’t as silly as ‘TDS?’ We’ll find out soon enough.
