3 wounded in early-morning gunfire at Birmingham home

An investigation is underway after three people were shot inside a Birmingham home Tuesday.

Birmingham police responded just before 1 a.m. to the 4300 block of 12th Court North on a report of multiple people shot, said Sgt. Rod Mauldin. They arrived to find three adult males - ages 36, 23 and 64 - wounded by the gunfire.

Mauldin said the preliminary investigation shows the shots were fired from outside the residence. None of the injuries are believed to be life-threatening.

No arrests have been made.
