Comments

Phil Blackwell: We wondered how Indian River would play after it was sidelined the first two weeks. The Warriors emphatically answered those questions in the second half against F-M. Homer got a strong Class B win over V-V-S, and Baldwinsville fought off Liverpool to go to 3-0 in advance of what should be quite a scene at Pelcher-Arcaro Stadium this Friday, the Bees offering the latest challenge to C-NS’s long hold on the area Class AA ranks.

Rocco Carbone: Baldwinsville comes away from a road win at Liverpool using a two-quarterback system. The top five teams in Class C are all undefeated, making for a battle to remain No. 1. CBA, Central Square and West Genesee look to get back on the field after Covid pauses.

Kate Calloway: There isn’t much movement in the bigger classes, but there is a ton of change happening on my end from Class B to 8-man! Cazenovia moved up to the two spot in Class C after coming out on fire against Solvay. My surprise team of the season so far is Adirondack! The Wildcats are off to a great 2-0 start after beating Onondaga and Westmoreland/Oriskany. With those wins, they not only moved into my rankings but moved up to the second spot behind Dolgeville.

Jackson Lawrence: Class A continues to get shaken up and it will continue to do so throughout the remainder of the season with more teams getting into a groove. It seems there are about five or six teams that can challenge Indian River at the top. All five teams in my Class C rankings are undefeated, but we all know that won’t stay much longer with a lot of good games coming up.

Pat Spadafore: With new teams moving to the No. 1 spots, the excitement of Section III football keeps going. A big challenge this week for Cicero-North Syracuse when it visits Baldwinsville on Friday. On Saturday, Morrisville-Eaton hosting New York Mills and Oneida at Camden should all be interesting.
