Friars take down the nationally-ranked Pirates in the BIG EAST opener.

Box Score SOUTH ORANGE, N.J. – The Providence College men's soccer team defeated No. 19 Seton Hall, 3-2, in the 2021 BIG EAST opener on Saturday, September 18 in South Orange, N.J. Sophomore forward Brendan McSorley (Randolph, N.J.), Davis Smith (Amherst, Mass.) and Paulo Lima (Lisbon, Portugal) each scored for the Friars.

  • The Friars outshot the Pirates 7-3 in the first half and took a 1-0 lead into halftime.
