Galaxy S21 FE Briefly Appeared On Google's ARCore Support Page

We have been hearing about the Samsung Galaxy S21 FE for so long that it’s baffling the device is yet to go official. Well, it appears someone at Google didn’t realize that. The company recently updated its official ARCore support page to add new Android devices to the list (via). 18 new devices were added to the list, including Samsung’s Galaxy Z Fold 3 and Flip 3 foldables. Among them was also the “Samsung Galaxy S21 Fan Edition,” a device that’s yet to break cover officially.

Google has realized the mistake and has since pulled back the Galaxy S21 FE from the list. But its premature addition to the list is another indication that the device was supposed to go official long ago. Hopefully, it will soon.

The Galaxy S21 FE may launch next month

Following the success of the Galaxy S20 FE, there has been a lot of interest in the Galaxy S21 FE. The device was shaping up to be a compelling proposition before the ongoing global semiconductor chip shortage hit hard, forcing a several months delay. Initial expectations were that Samsung will unveil it alongside the aforementioned two foldables at its Galaxy Unpacked event in August.

But we are now nearing the end of September and the Galaxy S21 FE continues to elude the market. We don’t even have an official launch date yet. Recent reports suggest the phone may finally break cover next month.

Meanwhile, the device continues to appear in leaks and, sometimes, in premature official listings as well. Samsung itself has jumped the gun a couple of times in recent months. Google is now the latest culprit. Hopefully, this months-long Galaxy S21 FE saga will be over soon.

There’s not much left to the imagination as far as the specs and design are concerned though. The Galaxy S21 FE will use either the Snapdragon 888 or the Exynos 2100 chipset depending on the market. The phone may be available in 6GB, 8GB, and 12GB RAM variants. It will likely sport a 6.5-inch Super AMOLED display with a Full HD resolution (1080 x 2009 pixels) and a 120Hz refresh rate.

We are expecting the Galaxy S21 FE to pack a 4,500mAh battery with 25W fast wired charging support. There isn’t much hope of getting a charging adapter in the box though.
