The event will spotlight and celebrate innovation and economic growth and development through construction projects in Greater Reading. The Greater Reading Chamber Alliance presents 2021 Women2Women Evening of Empowerment with Keynote Speaker Strother Gaines from 6 to 8:30 p.m. at the Reading Public Museum Tent, 500 Museum Road, or via livestream. Keynote speaker Strother Gaines, owner of “But I’m a Unicorn Dammit!,” will be sharing his personal, and inspiration, story of overcoming his own identity fears, but with flair and fun. Following his story, there will be an interactive workshop along with networking opportunities. Cost: $50 per person, or $25 for livestream that includes any materials distributed for the workshop. The Greater Reading Chamber Alliance presents the 2021 MFG Summit from 8 a.m. to noon at Reading Area Community College’s Schmid Training + Technology Center, 10 S. Second St. The event will kick-off with Denise Ball, Workforce Development Specialist, ToolingU-SME. There will also be an expert panel, a workshop with takeaway items, and the opportunity to stay for a manufacturing-focused job fair. Cost: $20 per person.
