FLINT – Week 4 was a good one for Flint-area football players.

We’ve got a season-high 16 players for you to consider on the Player of the Week poll.

The poll will remain open until 9 a.m. Friday Sept. 24 and we’ll publish the results shortly afterward.

No prizes will be awarded to the winner and voting will have no impact on postseason awards.

As always, please be patient if your vote isn’t showing up instantly on the poll. It can sometimes take a few minutes for the poll to update itself but all votes will be counted. They always are.

The senior quarterback completed 7 of 11 passes for 203 yards and three touchdowns while rushing for a TD in a 43-7 victory over Davison.

New Lothrop senior Garett Mangino scored three touchdowns in a victory over Byron. (Jake May | MLive.com)

Garett Mangino, New Lothrop

Mangino rushed for a pair of touchdowns and caught a TD pass in a 63-13 victory over Byron.

Monte Missentzis, Montrose

Missentzis passed for 109 yards and a touchdown in addition to rushing 11 times for 127 yards and another TD in a 35-0 victory over Chesaning.

Lance Briolat, Ortonville Brandon

The freshman quarterback, making his first varsity start, completed 14 of 20 passes for 290 yards and four touchdowns in a 55-0 victory over Clio.

Storm rushed for 101 yards and three touchdowns in a 32-13 victory over Corunna.

Austin Hamlin, Powers Catholic

Hamlin completed 9 of 11 passes for 78 yards and rushed for a pair of touchdowns in a 35-6 victory over Saginaw United.

Derrick Phipps, Kearsley

Phipps caught a 26-yard touchdown pass and made two interceptions in the fourth quarter to preserve the Hornets’ 21-14 victory over Flushing.

The senior quarterback had four rushing touchdowns and passed for a fifth in a 40-0 victory over Holly.

Michael Croak, Genesee

Croak had 136 receiving yards and three touchdowns while rushing for 115 yards and another TD in a 64-14 victory over Caseville.

Jace Simerson, Goodrich

Simerson rushed 18 times for 128 yards and two touchdowns in a 48-13 victory over Owosso.

Emillio Riley, Bendle

Riley had 146 receiving yards and three touchdowns in addition to making eight tackles and an interception on defense during a 30-20 victory over Bendle.

Zak Olejniczak, Lapeer

The sophomore quarterback completed 11 of 19 passes for 219 yards and four touchdowns to four receivers in a 56-25 win over Carman-Ainsworth.

Gabe Lynn, Durand

Lynn rushed 17 times for 210 yards and three touchdowns in a 40-21 win over Mt. Morris.

Camron Love, Mt. Morris

Love rushed for all three Mt. Morris TDs in a 40-21 loss to Durand.

Will Damaska, North Branch

The junior quarterback rushed for three touchdowns in a 35-14 victory over Yale.

Jake Nichols, Fenton

Nichols rushed 21 times for 158 yards and three touchdowns in a 41-27 win over Swartz Creek while also catching three passes for 72 yards and making six tackles on defense that included two for losses and one sack. He also recovered a fumble.
