Scott Frost hammered on social media after Nebraska's loss to Oklahoma
Scott Frost’s Nebraska Cornhuskers fell to 2-2 on the season with a 23-16 loss to No.3 Oklahoma. The one-score loss to the Sooners might seem like a “moral victory,” but the close call isn’t shielding Frost from social media criticism.
On Twitter, Frost is particularly being hammered for Nebraska’s poor showing on its final possession. Oklahoma punted the ball with roughly a minute left. Nebraska’s final drive went only four plays for 8 yards, including 2 sacks of Huskers QB Adrian Martinez.
Here’s a sample of what’s being said about Frost and the Huskers:
At this point, Scott Frost has lost at least a dozen games because he has no idea how to coach special teams. Something has to change cause it is killing us week in, week out. #Huskers

Has Nebraska never ran a 2-minute drill in practice under Scott Frost? What on earth was that? Even the last play, no one was trailing the receiver for the lateral.

Scott Frost gotta go lol. Feel bad for Nebraska fans.

Scott Frost was a great player. And a good Group of Five coach. But he can’t coach in Lincoln.

What an embarrassing last drive. Hope Nebraska keeps Scott Frost forever!

That was an embarrassingly bad job by Scott Frost with a minute left

Fire Scott Frost. Witnessed enough poor coaching to know the issue is poor coaching

Did Scott Frost not know he only had a minute left? Those play calls were terrible

Scott Frost should be fired for that last offensive series alone

Classic Scott Frost rivalry game coming down to Nebraska losing on the final possession.

Frost is now 14-22 in his Nebraska tenure. From now until Christmas, the temperature of Frost’s seat will be closely monitored.
