Justin Lin on Raising The Bar With F9: The Fast Saga [Exclusive Interview]

F9: The Fast Saga directed by Justin Lin

With every movie in the Fast and Furious franchise, the stakes are getting higher. The stunts are becoming more impossible. The bar of unbelievable scenes are raised even higher. All thanks to director Justin Lin in his latest film with F9: The Fast Saga.

For Lin, F9: The Fast Saga is marked as his fifth film in the nine movies thus so far. He started with 2006’s The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift, the third film of the franchise.

Here’s the official synopsis of F9: The Fast Saga:

Dom Toretto (Vin Diesel) thought he’d left his outlaw life in the rear-view mirror, but not even he can outrun the past. When his forsaken brother Jakob (John Cena) unexpectedly resurfaces as an elite assassin, the crew comes back together to help Dom confront the sins of his own past and stop a world-shattering plot.

Franchise veteran Justin Lin returns to the director’s seat for F9 from the screenplay written by Daniel Casey and Lin. The rest of the cast includes Jordana Brewster, Tyrese Gibson, Ludacris, Nathalie Emmanuel, Charlize Theron, John Cena, Finn Cole, Sung Kang, Anna Sawai, Helen Mirren, and Kurt Russell.
