Coronation Street to explore Imran's secret as Toyah accuses him of cheating

Coronation Street spoilers follow.

Coronation Street will revisit the secret that Imran Habeeb is keeping over his whereabouts following Kelly Neelan's verdict.

Imran (Charlie de Melo) spent a mysterious night away from Weatherfield earlier this month after Kelly was wrongfully convicted of Seb Franklin's murder.

Viewers saw Imran head off in a taxi with his ex-wife Sabeen (Zora Bishop), before returning the next morning and making excuses about where he'd been.

In next week's episodes, Gary Windass mentions to Toyah Battersby (Georgia Taylor) that he saw Imran heading into a bar following the verdict.

Toyah realises that Imran was lying to her when he claimed to have spent the evening alone in his office.

Soon afterwards, Sabeen reminds Imran of how she helped him following the verdict.

Toyah notices their intimacy and wastes little time before confronting Imran, asking whether he's having an affair with Sabeen.

Later in the week, Toyah is frustrated after failing to get an honest answer from Imran.

Things get worse when Imran tells Toyah that he can't meet her for lunch as he's busy at the office.

Toyah decides to surprise Imran with a takeaway meal instead, but once she arrives at the office, Adam Barlow tells her that Imran hasn't been working all day.

When Toyah finds Imran and once again pushes for answers, he tells her that he spent the night of the trial at Sabeen's house.

He insists that nothing happened between them and Sabeen backs this up when Toyah speaks to her separately.

However, there's another twist to the tale as Sabeen knows Imran isn't telling the full story.

Sabeen is intrigued as Imran didn't spend the whole evening with her like he's claiming.

Later, Imran feels terrible when Toyah apologises for doubting him.

Toyah suggests they should be totally open with each other in future, but Imran is still privately mulling over his guilty secret. What really happened that night after he left Sabeen?
