Coronation Street spoilers follow.

Coronation Street teen Max Turner is caught out for lying next week following allegations that he stole from Daniel Osbourne.

Upcoming episodes see a feud break out on the cobbles, as Daniel accuses Max (Paddy Bever) of stealing his wallet following their tensions at school.

When Max denies everything during a public showdown on the Street, Daniel (Rob Mallard) becomes forceful in his efforts to get to the truth.

In next week's episodes, Daniel faces the consequences as David Platt (Jack P Shepherd) reports him to the school for assaulting Max.

Daniel is summoned to a meeting with the school's deputy head and admits that he grabbed Max's jacket during the argument.

Despite this, Daniel refuses to withdraw his accusation about the stolen wallet, even though he doesn't have any proof that Max was responsible.

Convinced that Max is innocent, David demands that Daniel is sacked for his actions. He threatens to take matters into his own hands if the school doesn't do something.

David soon realises that he doesn't have the support of his wife Shona (Julia Goulding), who suspects that Max is hiding something. David refuses to back down and reports Daniel to the police for assault.

Meanwhile, Daniel's boss encourages him to pacify David and apologise, rather than throw away his career over this.

Later on, Max heads to the Corner Shop and tries to pay for his purchases using a bank card.

Dev Alahan (Jimmi Harkishin) gets suspicious when the card is declined and he wonders where Max got it from.

The Weatherfield shopkeeper visits David to let him know about the situation. David acts instinctively by covering for Max, lying that he loaned his card to the schoolboy.

Once alone, David loses his temper with Max, now realising that Daniel must have been right.

Back at the shop, Dev chats about the bank card incident and Daniel is intrigued. Will he realise that David is covering for Max?

Coronation Street airs these scenes on Monday, September 27 at 7.30pm and 8.30pm on ITV.
