Are you still thinking about Top Chef Season 18 then it might be time to enjoy some Talenti Layers Peanut Butter Crunch. While Top Chef Family Style is giving many food television fans a taste of that culinary creativity, another flavor of the Top Chef experience is coming directly to the home kitchen. Ready for a spoonful of irresistible gelato and no one is going to tell you to pack your knives and go.

During Top Chef Season 18, Talenti partnered with the popular Bravo series as part of one of the Quickfire challenges. The winning gelato was transformed into the latest flavor to hit store shelves.

The Talenti Layers Peanut Butter Crunch features peanut butter gelato, crunchy graham cracker pieces, brown butter sugar sauce, vanilla gelato and chocolate peanut butter cups. To say that this flavor is the perfect combination of sweet, salty and crunchy is an understatement.

Anyone who enjoys Talenti appreciates how the layers add to the eating enjoyment. Although each layer works independently, the combination of all the flavors in a single bite is dessert perfection.

With this particular dessert, the brown butter sugar sauce is the unique component that makes it feel connected to an elegant restaurant dessert. The slight nuttiness from brown butter is an evolution of the sometimes over used “salted” component. It is a touch unctuous but it makes all the other flavors pop.

Even though the first scoop might be difficult, it is best to try to get all the layers in the bowl. From the slight crunch of the graham crackers to the palate awakener of the vanilla, this gelato is best enjoyed as a sum of all its parts.

The new Talenti Layers Peanut Butter Crunch will be rolling out on store shelves. Check with participating retailers for specific availability.
