SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – Real Salt Lake has once again been well represented in this week’s MLS Team of the Week. Damir Kreilach received a starting position while Aaron Herrera was rewarded with a role on the bench as both players were deemed to be of the league’s best in week 26.

Both Kreilach and Herrera played a pivotal role in granting Real Salt Lake the 1-0 victory over the Seattle Sounders. In the 47th minute, Herrera found himself with the ball on the right flank, he dribbled towards the touchline, cut back onto his left, made another cut onto his right before sending a cross into the area.
Herrera’s cross found Kreilach at the back post who headered the ball into the ground past Stefan Frei and into the back of the net.
Herrera turned Sounders full-back, Brad Smith, inside out while Kreilach read the cross better than any Seattle defender and was the first player to make contact with the cross. When Herrera played the ball into the box, Real Salt Lake was outnumbered by three Sounders defenders. But the quality of the cross and the instinct of Kreilach was too much for Seattle to handle.

Kreilach has now scored 10 goals on the season, good enough for ninth-best in the league while Herrera added his ninth assist on the year, good enough for third-best in the league.
