Jets signing S Adrian Colbert to their active roster

The Jets are signing Adrian Colbert off their practice squad and onto their active roster, his agent, Drew Rosenhaus, told ESPN’s Adam Schefter.

With the Jets short at safety, Colbert has appeared in New York’s first two games of the season. Gang Green is missing Lamarcus Joyner, Ashtyn Davis and Sharrod Neasman at the position due to injuries.

Colbert, who played under Robert Saleh in San Francisco, has eight tackles so far this season. He has played in 90 defensive snaps and contributed on special teams.

OL Isaiah Williams was released to make space for Colbert.
