Ole Miss quarterback Matt Corral is the new favorite to win the Heisman Trophy, according to FanDuel Sportsbook’s odds updated Sunday.
Corral replaces Bryce Young had been the betting favorite since throwing four touchdowns on 344 yards passing in his starting debut two weeks ago against Miami. Young has thrown three touchdowns in each of his past two starts against Mercer and Florida but with less prolific yardage totals of 227 and 240.
Young now has the second-best odds at 4/1, while Corral stands at 1.5/1.
The two Heisman front-runners will meet next week at Bryant-Denny Stadium when Alabama hosts Ole Miss on Oct. 2.
Ole Miss, ranked No. 13 this week in both the AP and coaches polls, is off this week. The Rebels are tied for the the FBS lead in scoring (52.7 point per game) and lead the country in averaging 635.3 yards per game.
