Guests who take part on the cruise will board one of the ferry boats at the Transportation and Ticket Center before sailing around the Seven Seas Lagoon to watch the Magic Kingdom’s fireworks!

Specialty beverages are also part of the dining experience with options for guests of all ages, including the non-alcoholic Fireworks Punch and Liquid Fireworks…
…as well as wine, beer, and BLUE champagne! Alcoholic beverages alone can hike up the price of dining experiences alone in Disney World with drinks sometimes reaching close to $20. However, the dessert cruise isn’t ALL about the food! Additional entertainment is available on-board, as the cruise sets sail 50 minutes ahead of the scheduled fireworks showings in the Magic Kingdom. Guests can also participate in a themed scavenger hunt around the ferry boat. And, they can even use special Mickey Goggles to spot Hidden Mickeys in the air during the show!
While you might have your own favorite spot around the Magic Kingdom to watch the fireworks, the ferry boat is a really special viewing area away from the crowds. Since the boat sets sail ahead of the 20-minute fireworks show, guests have well over an hour to fully take in everything that the Ferrytale Fireworks: A Sparkling Dessert Cruise offers. Why the Ferrytale Fireworks Dessert Cruise ISN’T Worth It:
Despite all the perks, the Ferrytale Fireworks: A Sparkling Dessert Cruise is definitely on the pricier side of dining experiences in Disney World. For just over an hour of entertainment, the cost sits at $99 per adult and $69 per child. If you’re traveling with a bigger party or very young kids, you might want to opt out of the experience to budget your trip. While it may not be right for your family, it could be a better choice for individual adults looking for a unique date night.
Perhaps the biggest drawback for the price tag is that you don’t get a close-up view of Cinderella Castle’s projection work. Now that Disney Enchantment will be coming to the Magic Kingdom for the 50th anniversary, you could miss out on the best parts of the projection-heavy show along Main Street, U.S.A.
There is a limited amount of seating aboard the Ferrytale Fireworks: A Sparkling Dessert Cruise, so you’ll want to make reservations ahead of your visit, available on the Walt Disney World website. Unlike the ability to just go into the Magic Kingdom during the evening of the show, the dessert cruise requires a bit more planning. Same-day reservations can be made until 5 PM, but there is a lesser chance you’ll be able to snag them compared to booking ahead of time.
