Sanford woman suffers serious injuries in Limerick head-on crash

LIMERICK (WGME) -- The York County Sheriff's Office says a Sanford woman was seriously injured after being ejected from her vehicle in a head-on crash in Limerick Monday.

Police say the crash happened around 10:45 a.m. in the area of 167 Elm Street.
Investigators say an SUV driven by the 26-year-old Sanford woman may have crossed the center line and struck a dump truck.
The woman was ejected from her vehicle and suffered significant head injuries. She was LifeFlighted to Maine Medical Center.
The driver and passenger in the dump truck were evaluated at the scene and released.
Police say the road was closed for four hours while investigators were on scene.
