Zach Senyshyn signs one-year deal with Bruins

The Boston Bruins announced they signed right-winger Zach Senyshyn to a one-year, two-way contract with an annual cap of $750K.

The 24-year-old was drafted by the Bruins in 2015 - 15th overall. He appeared in eight games during the 2020-21 season. He has appeared in 14 NHL games overall since 2018 and has recorded one goal and two assists.

Senyshyn showed glimpses of speed in his first handful of games last season, but that was about it as he didn’t have much to show offensively.

In eight games from March 11 to May 11, he recorded zero points with 10 shots on net. Senyshyn ended with a -1 rating and averaged 10:07 minutes of ice time.

Senyshyn has primarily been a Providence Bruins’ staple the past four seasons and has showed promising production in the AHL. Since 2017, he has registered 40 goals and 39 assists for 79 points with the P-Bruins in 192 games.

During the P-Bruins’ 2020-21 season, Senyshyn accumulated seven goals and six assists in 18 games.

His production in the AHL hasn't translated to the NHL level yet, but hopefully he can continue to grow and offer a little more offensively in the future for the Bruins.

If he doesn't take a pretty big step forward this season for the B's, it's fair to wonder if his time with the organization will come to an end.
