Yesterday evening(September 19th) the 73rd Emmy awards took place in LA and while some celebs showed off their looks on instagram, they also made their way to the red carpet. Also the event seemed a bit toned down this year with a lot of celebs wearing dressy but casual looks. To see all of the red carpet looks, click HERE.
Traji P. Henson sparkled beautifully in a ELIE SAAB RESORT 2022 sheer black sequin dress which was accessorized with ROBERTO COIN jewelry and SOPHIA WEBSTER sandals. The neckline looks too long and wide on Taraji but other than that, she looked beautiful.
Tracee Ellis Ross looked pretty wearing a red sequin VALENTINO FALL 2021 COUTURE draped dress which she accessorized with some sparkly jewelry. I like how a lot of her looks tend to pay homage to her mother rather intentionally or not. Love the color on her.
Beanie Feldstein wore a metallic pleated BRANDON MAXWELL SPRING 2022 belted dress. Beanie joins the many celebs at the show that didn't get all dressed up in a gown. Love this dress on her but I dislike it with these CHRISTIAN LOUBOUTIN sandals. I wish she kept the runway's sandals. SHAY jewelry finished up her look.
Awkwafina skipped the red carpet in general but she posted her look on instagram. She wore a MONIQUE LHUILLIER SPRING 2022 ocean blue high neck deep V bodice puff sleeve textured organza gown.
Sophia Bush wore a MARKARIAN FALL 2020 pink silk-faille gown. The pops of red via her lips and clutch added a complimentary color balance to her look.
Susan Kelechi Watson also wore a MARKARIAN dress but from the SPRING 2022 collection. Her pink sequin wrap dress would have been great in a longer version but this was still a great look.
Renee Elise Goldsberry also wore a look by CONG TRI but from the FALL 2020 collection. The feather neckline added a playful detail to her gown and the cutout waist added a flirty touch. I wish she wore a sleek hairstyle as well but she still looked pretty.
Allison Janney wore a bridal inspired piece courtesy of AZZI & OSTRA. This FALL 2019 COUTURE white draped panel dress featured a sheer organza, beaded embroidered skirt in the look book but I am glad that the skirt was changed for Allison. Her version is much better.
Madeline Brewer was head to toe in TOM FORD SPRING 2022 which featured a bronze tank dress and cobalt blue satin sandals. Cute but not for the Emmy's and the shoes is not really working how it is on the runway. I like the color though.
Uzo Aduba wore a CRISTINA OTTAVIANO fuchsia pleated halter gown. The top of Uzo's gown was altered from the look book version which suits her better. Love this color on her but I dislike the hem. Also I don't think she needed the colored cheeks & lips, it should have been one or the other.
Yvonne Strahovski cradled her growing baby bump wearing a custom GALVAN black crop tuxedo and u-neck column dress, accessorized with ANITA KO jewelry.
Niecy Nash worked her frame in a black off-the-shoulder, CHIARA BONI LA PETITE ROBE gown which was accessorized with CHANEL fine jewelry.
Jada Pinkett Smith recently shaved her head and she is working that bald style beautifully. She posed in a vintage CHRISTIAN DIOR COUTURE gown and she looked fantastic.
