Grand Opening: Kiewit Corporation HQ in Lone Tree

On September 15, Kiewit Corporation, one of the largest construction and engineering organizations in North America, celebrated celebrated the grand opening of the new state-of-the-art 252,000-square-foot building on its new campus at the Lone Tree regional headquarters.

The headquarters is a 12-acre campus designed to accommodate approximately 1,700 employees, bringing all of Kiewit’s Denver-area employees onto one property and providing a world-class facility to work, attract top-tier talent and contribute directly to the economic growth of the community.

Kiewit’s own building group serves as the general contractor for the project and Stantec is the architect.

Intentionally designed for employees across different functions of Kiewit’s business to interact, share ideas and collaborate, the campus will be the hub for Kiewit’s operations in the region.

“As we celebrate the grand opening of our new regional headquarters, we extend our gratitude and appreciation for our partners and project teams that have supported this vision,” said Chris Stolzer, senior vice president at Kiewit. “The collaboration and community fortitude behind this project is the backbone of a corporate campus that will bring a positive impact to this thriving community in RidgeGate and empower Kiewit’s reach across North America.”

Situated just west of Interstate 25 at the Lincoln Avenue interchange, the campus is located within the mixed-use, master-planned RidgeGate community, providing current and future employees with proximity to housing and transportation options, including access to I-25 and the Sky Ridge light-rail station.

Kiewit first announced plans to locate its regional headquarters in Colorado last spring. The company cited the metro area’s strong economy, educated workforce and proximity to institutions of higher education that are producing a next-generation workforce in key industries on which Kiewit is focused.

For nearly 80 years, Kiewit has maintained a strong workforce in Colorado to lead many of the major projects that have supported the state’s exponential growth — from the Interstate 25 expansion with T-REX to Union Station transit improvements. Today, Kiewit continues to have an impact on economic development in the area. The company is behind a number of new projects that support thriving businesses and communities in Colorado, including major redevelopment projects in the metro area: the 9th and Colorado mixed-use neighborhood and Market Station in downtown Denver.
