Twire.gg’s PCS5 fantasy PUBG is entering its second week. These tournaments are similar to HLTV’s classic fantasy tournaments. This is an expansion for a site that already is one of the hubs for everything PUBG esports. It should be noted that the site is running a separate tournament for each region. That means four tournaments and four different rosters. It is insanely simple to do, which should hopefully encourage fans to give it a try. This begs the questions, what players provide the best value in each region heading into week two? For those who want to join, be sure to click the link attached to this text!
Asia
Inonix at $30,000
While his first day of PCS5 was subpar, Inonix brought it all the way back on the second day. He finished the week with 19 kills, more than all but five players. Additionally, he was sixth in damage with 3,566 damage. He put up top-five player numbers while barely having an impact on the first day. If Inonix is back performing at his PWS Phase Two level, he is one of the best players in this tournament. If he plays as he did during day two he is an insane value.
LanBo0 at $15,000
Games Forever Young did not do great during the first week, but they are better than what they showed. Even more importantly, LanBo0 is better than what he showed. While his floor is lower than his teammate Loong, who costs the same, LanBo0’s ceiling is massively higher. He had the seventh most kills and sixteenth in damage during PCL Summer. He may be a little boom or bust, but GFY should end up performing better. When they do, LanBo0 will look a lot better
Mingz1 at $20,000
While Mingz1’s price didn’t change, the value he presents in the second week with other price changes has influenced this. Mamu and Mingz1 now have the same price, which paired with their stats, makes Mingzi now the better value. Mingzi has consistently produced more damage than Mamu since his introduction to the team. Pair that with relatively even kill production and Mingz1 is a sleeper pick for week two.
Europe
Dab00m at $15,000
While EXhalatioN is not much of a threat to the top of the table, Dab00m does present good value at his current price. Over the course of PCS4 and PCS5, he has averaged almost one kill per game with ok damage numbers. Will he knock his owners’ socks off? No, but he could be a lesser version of Curexi from this past week.
APAC
Duckmanz at $15,000
Duckmanz is still at $15,000. While he underperformed to the tune of 29 points, the potential is still there. Made In Thailand finished the first week of PCS5 with one win and 48 kills, and he only got seven of them. If they keep putting up kill numbers like that, he should not remain that low for much longer. His performances are commonly more in line with being the first or second fragger on the team, not the last. Duckmanz is still on one of the few TRUE values in week tw.
Vanotica at $30,000
It sounds dumb, but Vanotica at $30,000 still provides great value despite his cost. Daytrade Gaming underperformed last week by getting 48 kills and no wins. Yet, despite that, Vanotica put up 16 kills and 2,825 damage across all 12 games. That resulted in a cool total of 57 points, which is a bad week for Daytrade. If they get back to what they can do, Vanotica could be towards the top in kills and damage. He is always one of the team’s top two fraggers, so he could get even better.
Ronon, Insight and Ykikamucoww at $30,000
The trio from Fury is in a weird situation at the moment. Fludd’s insane statistical performance kept his price as high as it was last week. The other three though dropped between $10,000 and $15,000. This presents a massive potential value that will likely last only one week. If the trio return to their PCS4 form, any or all of the three will be back to their original price. The high cost is worth the output.
Americas
Vox at $15,000
Three Hundred may be towards the bottom of the standings, but they did finish top four four times during the first week. That should peak people’s interest in the potential in some of the players. The most interesting target among them is Vox. He did the second most damage on the team and had the longest survival time by a noticeable margin. He survives and deals damage, which in this scoring is valuable. He has led the team in kills, but that is not expected. If people need someone to round out their roste with, Vox is a potentially good option.
