Pedestrian killed by train in Charleston identified

CHARLESTON, WV (WOWK) — Police have released the name of the man who died after being hit by a train in Charleston.

Charleston Police say Dallas Noah Adkins Jr., 52, of Marmet, was struck by a CSX train traveling west on the 1200 block of MacCorkle Avenue around 12:46 p.m. Saturday afternoon.

Adkins was pronounced dead on the scene.
