The second spin-off series to The Walking Dead is ready to premiere its second and final season. The Walking Dead: World Beyond will air its season two premiere episode on AMC on October 3.

This series will follow the confusing air dates as The Walking Dead has with the AMC and AMC+ air dates and times. The episodes will release ONE WEEK EARLY on AMC+. So, our Sundays will be filled with TWDU content as follows:  starting September 26, early release of The Walking Dead and World Beyond episodes on AMC+ and Walking Dead episode on AMC. Clear as mud?

World Beyond hasn’t been canceled; as some have reported, it was always scheduled to be a two-season series that will segway into The Walking Dead movies.

Aliyah Royale, Alexa Mansour, Nicolas Cantu, Hal Cumpston, Nico Tortorella, Annet Mahendru, and Julia Ormond will all be returning this season. And  Jelani Alladin, Joe Holt, Ted Sutherland, and Natalie Gold have been promoted to series regulars, with Max Osinski, Gisette Valentin, Anna Khaja added as a new cast members.

The Walking Dead World Beyond crossover character

It was recently announced that Jadis (Pollyanna McIntosh) would be the mystery crossover character who will appear in World Beyond. This might not have been the character fans were hoping for, but she is the last person we know to see Rick Grimes alive.

She will give some insight into Rick and, hopefully, his whereabouts since we last saw him. Who knows, she may even know if Michonne has been reunited with him. At the very end of the trailer, when we see her character revealed, she says to someone off-camera, I hope we get to catch up while I’m here. Who is she talking to?

I have a theory, and you can read it at the end of this article: Jadis is the key to Rick Grimes.

The Walking Dead: World Beyond release date

As mentioned above, this will be a bit confusing, but the AMC premiere date for the second season of The Walking Dead World Beyond is October 3. The AMC+ date is on September 26, which is one week earlier.
