Tom Hanks searches for a new home in latest 'Finch' trailer

Sept. 20 (UPI) -- Tom Hanks embarks on an epic journey with his dog and a robot in the new trailer for Apple TV+'s upcoming sci-fi drama, Finch.

Hanks portrays Finch who was able to survive a catastrophic solar flare that wiped out most of humanity in the clip released on Monday.

Finch lives out his days with his beloved dog and is able to develop a walking and talking robot voiced by Caleb Landry Jones, who names himself Jeff.

A deadly storm forces Finch to move, causing him to travel with his dog and Jeff across a post-apocalyptic world. Finch keeps teaching Jeff new things such as driving and the pair work together to survive tornado.

Finch, from director Miguel Sapochnik, is coming to Apple TV+ on Nov. 5. Craig Luck and Ivor Powell penned the script with Robert Zemeckis producing.

Hanks recently landed a role in director Wes Anderson's next untitled film that also stars Adrien Brody, Bill Murray and Tilda Swinton.
