Johnson was rushed to a Los Angeles hospital after he was “found lifeless” at a store earlier in the month, his nephew reported to TMZ.

He was pronounced dead on Monday, September 21 but the cause of death has not been revealed.

He was 55 years old.

Johnson played E.Z.E in House Party and performed stand-up comedy all around Los Angeles.

He also appeared in films Lethal Weapon 3 and Menace II Society.

It was rumored that he had been set to reprise his role in the upcoming movie Last Friday.

On Wednesday, February 9, 2022, TMZ reported that Johnson's cause of death was "chronic ethanol use," according to his autopsy report obtained by the outlet.
