Megan Thee Stallion’s Thermal Nail Art Is Her Hottest Set Yet

Megan Thee Stallion is no stranger to a fun manicure and trying out the latest nail art trends. Proof? She's tried everything from candy nails and the marble manicure to optical illusion designs. Her latest look, which she wore for her performance at the 2021 Music Midtown in Atlanta Georgia on 19 Sept., is at the top of our list when it comes to fall nail trends we want to try out: thermal nail art.

Created by her longtime manicurist Coca Michelle, who is known for long extensions and intricate art, the rapper's latest set looks like the hues of a thermal imaging camera (you know, the ones you see of the haunted shows on TV).

There are a few ways to achieve this particular trend, though for this one, we don't recommend trying it at home. The first technique is done by painting layers of different colors on top of each other and then carefully using a nail drill to file down and reveal the thermal effect. Another technique (which you can see here) involves layering the blue, yellow, red and green shades on top of each other in such a way that once they're fully dried, it resembles the thermal imaging camera effects.
