Police say the incident occurred May 15th at the Heartland Inn on 2nd Street. 48-year-old Jeffery Vaughn is accused of committing a sex act on a woman at approximately 2:30am. Reports indicate that the woman was mentally incapacitated and could not consent.

The assault reportedly caused bodily injury to the woman, who was bruised during the incident.
