Everything is set for a weekend of fun in Pawhuska with The Osage County Free Fair – a tradition that's been going strong for 108 years, since 1913.

Organizers have been working to make this year’s event a hit.

The fair kicked off Thursday with a “school day” which brought in hundreds of kiddos, who enjoyed carnival rides and a petting zoo.

Inside the ag building, vendors are set up with goodies, crafts and even some informational booths.

Osage County Free Fair Board Vice-Chair Blake Hull said you can't beat a small-town county fair and hopes folks from outside of Osage County will stop by to see what it's all about.

“The goal is to bring as many people in as possible to Osage County and to give them the opportunity to see what everybody here sees and why we volunteer and why we have a free fair board and the ability to let kids, and even adults, to come out and just enjoy Osage County, that's what we do it for,” said Hull.

Manda Zoo 2 You's petting zoo is also part of the event. The owner has some domestic and exotic animals, everything from llamas, donkeys, chickens and rabbits to a coatimundi and a cavy.

Food trucks will also be set up and rodeo events are scheduled for Friday and Saturday.

The fair runs all day Friday at the Osage County Fairgrounds in Pawhuska.

For more information, you can visit the event's Facebook page or view a full rundown of events on the Osage County Free Fair website.
