3 Doors Down, with Seether

Formed by lead singer Brad Arnold in 1996, 3 Doors Down scored its first hit four years later with "Kryptonite."

The Mississippi-based rock band went on to record others, including “Here Without You,” “Away From The Sun” and “When I’m Gone,” the video of which shows the band performing on the USS George Washington aircraft carrier about two decades ago.

The group's The Better Life tour rolls into Florida next month with three concerts: Oct. 14 at Daily's Place in Jacksonville, with tickets from $38; the Oct. 15 show at Hard Rock Live Orlando is sold out, and Oct. 16 at iTHINK Financial Amphitheatre in West Palm Beach with tickets from $35.

The South African-based hard rock band Seether also will be performing at all three concerts. Its hits include "Fake It," "Fine Again," "Rise Above This" and "Words As Weapons."

Lead singer Shaun Morgan of the South African-based band Seether performs Saturday at Fort Rock.

Tickets are available at ticketmaster.com, livenation.com, 3doorsdown.com, and other sites.

The tour also marks the 20th anniversary of the group's debut album, The Better Life, which will be played in its entirety, along with other hits.

Along with Arnold, the band's current lineup consists of rhythm and lead guitarist Chris Henderson (with the band since 1998); drummer Greg Upchurch; guitarist and backing vocalist Chet Roberts; and bassist Justin Biltonen.

While 3 Doors Down has remained popular among Generation Xers (post-baby boomers) and some Millennials or Generation Y’s (born early 1980s to early 2000s), Arnold said the band attracts fans of all ages.

“You’ll see kids standing next to a 60-year-old couple,” Arnold told the Naples Daily News in 2014. “You’ll see them singing right along with each other. That means the world to me.”

J Balvin

Time magazine in 2020 included him on its annual list of the 100 most influential people of the world. Billboard already has named J Balvin, at age 36, as one of the Greatest Latin Artists of all Time.
