Pop Empanada, a new empanada shop, has opened in Park Ridge.

Owners Tommy Greco and Chris Tanno have owned and operated a South American steakhouse in Manhattan for over six years and decided to open this fast casual restaurant in their hometown.

The cooking is overseen by Mr. Greco’s mother-in-law, who has been making Chilean style Empanadas for decades.

The menu currently includes eight Empanada varieties, three hot sandwiches, two salads, two desserts and a selection of beverages.

It’s currently open seven days a week for lunch and dinner.
