Reds lose while Cardinals, Cubs and Braves win Sunday games

The Cincinnati Reds gave up six runs in the first three innings of an 8-5 loss to the Los Angeles Dodgers at the Great American Ball Park. Rookie TJ Friedl hit his first big league home run in the defeat. The Reds are three games back of St. Louis for the final NL Wild Card playoff spot as they welcome the Pittsburgh Pirates this evening with pregame at 5:10 on News Radio 95.3 FM/1230 AM WHOP.

St. Louis rode a five-run first inning to an 8-7 win over the San Diego Padres at Busch Stadium. The Cardinals won their eighth straight as they welcome the Milwaukee Brewers this evening.

The Chicago Cubs snapped a four game losing streak with a 6-4 win Sunday in Milwaukee. The Cubs are off today before hosting the Minnesota Twins tomorrow night.

Eddie Rosario led the Atlanta Braves offense, hitting for the cycle in a 3-0 win in San Francisco. Rosario finished the day with four hits and an RBI. Adam Duvall added his 36th home run of the season. Atlanta is two games up on the Philadelphia
