Staff working at a Buckinghamshire Fedex depot are set to be affected by a major restructure at the company.
The American multinational said that work is being duplicated across the European arm of the business following its merger with TNT - with the firm working to 'address the duplication and complexity'.
Staff in Aylesbury are said to be affected by the changes, as FedEx has a large depot in the Buckinghamshire town on Westcott Venture Park.

A spokesperson for FedEx said that staff affected by the restructuring are currently being consulted and that the company are attempting to ‘avoid redundancies’.
The spokesperson said: “Earlier this year, we presented a proposal to our European Works councils in order to finalise the network integration of FedEx and TNT and fully unlock the potential of our business across Europe.
“As part of this final stage of integration, we need to address the duplication and complexity across parts of our hub and ground operations.

“While absolutely necessary, these changes are sadly going to impact our teams in the Aylesbury station.
“FedEx is committed to ensuring that colleagues who leave under the proposed changes are treated sensitively and fairly.
“We’re committed to avoiding redundancies where possible and doing everything we can to support our colleagues through this process.
“We are exploring the full range of support measures for those impacted, including reassignment to other roles within the business and job support for those who may end up leaving the company.”
