Coming to PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X, Destroy All Humans! 2 is getting a remake titled Reprobed. Yeah. That's the chaotic series we know.

The sequel was sure to happen after THQ Nordic said that it was particularly pleased with the critical and commercial success of 2020's Destroy All Humans!. Yet, it was a little Easter egg at the very end of a promotional video on Steam that originally alerted fans to the existence of a possible Destroy All Humans! 2 remake.

In this one, Crypto-137 has passed away, leaving Crypto-138 in charge of the world ten years after his death. However, this new hero ("hero" used rather loosely here) must halt the KGB's plans to unleash a bioweapon that turns humans into monsters. Unlike the previous game, he works with humans and is able to use their likenesses as disguises.

Gameplay mechanics like the Free Love ability is shown off in the trailer, which causes humans to suddenly dance and forget the fact they saw him. And, it looks like we'll be jetting off once again to San Francisco, London, Tokyo, the Soviet Union and even the Moon.

Check out the ridiculous trailer here, featuring Crypto-138 in all of his dastardly disco glory!

As well as the snazzy visuals, players will look forward to a "much larger, much more open world" than before and new technology to wreak havoc with. This is sounding a lot like the approach that Black Forest Games took with the first remake and we're very on board with that.

"Although 15 years have gone by, within seconds of touching down on planet Earth, it feels like you never left," said Phil Boon in our review of the new Destroy All Humans!. "It's clear to see that Black Forest Games have worked very hard to stay true to the original game, further enhancing already existing features which fans loved from the original, in the hopes of allowing for a more-polished finish for a new era of gaming."

While there is no stated launch window for Destroy All Humans! 2: Reprobed, players are able to preorder the game for the three platforms right now.
