The season has barely begun and the goal machine known as Erling Braut Haaland has continued to do what he does best: Score goals. The Real Madrid transfer target is one of the hottest names in the football world in recent years with many wondering what his next career move will be. In the summer transfer window, Erling Haaland‘s release clause from Borussia Dortmund will be around 75 million Euros which also means that there will be a lot of clubs ready to make their move for the strike, who has already proven that he has what it takes to play for literally anyone in Europe.

Bayern Munich, Paris Saint-Germain, Manchester City, and many other clubs will make their bids of 75 million which will give them the right to speak to Haaland and his agent – none other than Mino Raiola – to try convincing the player that his future lies with them. Another club that will surely be in the running? Real Madrid.

All the clubs coming in for negotiations will have something unique to offer whether it’s money, the attractiveness of the league, or in Real Madrid’s case, an attractive project.

Haaland has already shown maturity on the pitch and off of it after picking Borussia Dortmund as his club once he left Red Bull Salzburg after emerging onto the scene in Europe. The reason behind it is quite simple – even though many bigger clubs were aiming for his signature, he saw that at that point in his very early career, he needed to grow and Dortmund offered just that.

Erling Haaland is the only one who gets to choose

They offered him a platform where he can grow in a very competitive environment, improve himself on a weekly basis as a guaranteed starter for the team, and get experience playing in Europe as the club consistently qualify for the UEFA Champions League.

Time has shown that his decision was correct. If he was a goal-scoring machine before joining BVB, he’s on another level now and his name is on the top of the list for many clubs around. He also knows that he’s ready to make that big move with the only question now being, where?

Real Madrid will be able to offer Erling Haaland a high salary – even though it won’t be as high as others – but that will not be the main selling point that Florentino Perez will be going in with. The attacker has already visited the club and had a tour as well as a meeting with the club president. However, that’s all it was.

The player and his agent wanted a feel for the club and they did the same in Barcelona as well. Perez was already playing his cards though and making it clear that Haaland’s next club should be Real Madrid, but in the end, it will be the player’s choice. This won’t be a decision made by Raiola, Haaland’s father, or anyone else. Just Haaland and because of that, it’s extremely hard to predict what his choice will be.

Real Madrid are starting to develop a clearer sporting project

Money won’t be a problem; he’ll get paid quite handsomely wherever he goes. Therefore, he’ll make his decision based on the project. Real Madrid have already formed a very strong base for their project, which focuses on the future. It’s likely that they will be able to add Kylian Mbappe to this roster by the end of the campaign. Real Madrid’s project is attractive, clear, and on its way to creating what could very well be one of the most dangerous teams in Europe. Haaland makes that stronger and a lot more lethal.

In addition, he’ll be able to learn and complement one of the greatest attackers in the world and someone who has been through it all at the club and knows how to work with the newcomers to make them feel comfortable and welcome. Karim Benzema’s availability at the time of Haaland’s arrival will do a lot to help the Norwegian integrate into the team faster while being able to focus on his abilities.

It will also be interesting to see what the manager would have in mind with both Benzema and Haaland in the squad. It’s definite that he won’t be having a similar role to Luka Jovic – a backup to Benzema with very limited minutes on the pitch – as he would play very often.

Real Madrid is on Haaland’s mind. There is absolutely no doubt about that. He will be looking to Raiola and others around him for some advice and guidance but in the end, he’s the one that will make the final decision. He isn’t one that will fall under pressure. His choice to move to Dortmund showed that he understands what he needs and what steps are necessary for him to become the player he truly can be.

Erling Haaland can become a global superstar at Real Madrid

Real Madrid is a place where Haaland can learn, grow and definitely shine. He’s already loved by many Madridistas who keep hoping that they can see him line up at the Santiago Bernabeu with the famous white kit and make history alongside others. Add to that the possibility of having an attack that consists of Vinicius Junior, Kylian Mbappe, and Erling Haaland. The thought in itself is enough to make your mind race with everything these three can create.

However, as of now, Haaland is being the same professional player he has been for the past few years. The full focus is on Borussia Dortmund and it will continue to be that way until the end of the season. Once that’s over, then he will begin to decide what the next move will be, and only then will we know what the Norwegian international is thinking. Until that moment, everything will be speculation.

Just keep in mind that Real Madrid are well and truly in the race for the forward and just because they cannot offer the same amount of money that others will, it does not mean that he won’t choose to move to the Spanish capital. Money talks. But it isn’t everything. especially when it comes to the allure of the club and Haaland’s vision for his future.
