It's time to accept the facts on Line 3: Letter

I am a big supporter of free speech and political activism. It is important that we stand up for our beliefs and make our voices heard, but there is also a time when you have to accept the facts of the matter and move on. That is where we are when it comes to the Line 3 pipeline project.

After six years leading up to construction beginning, there has been consistent momentum, approval, and support for Line 3. Enbridge has blocked any attempt to disrupt progress, and this project has continued to move full steam ahead to the finish line.

That message, however, does not seem to have gotten through to the Line 3 pipeline protesters. These Line 3 opponents refuse to accept reality and continue to use illegal, dangerous, and outrageous methods to slow construction.

Since we are heading into the fall sports season, I think it is time to look at the “scoreboard” here. We are well into the fourth quarter; the score is a lot to a little, and it is clear what the outcome of the game is going to be: a finished and functioning Line 3 pipeline system.

Enough is enough. It is time for Line 3 protesters to gather up their stuff and go home!
