Investigation continues after man shot in Cape Girardeau

CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. (KFVS) - Cape Girardeau Police responded to the 400 block of South Spring Street at 6:25 a.m. on Saturday, September 18 in reference to a shooting.

Cape Girardeau Police Sgt. Joey Hann said a man was hit by gunfire and he was driving himself to the hospital.

Officers found the victim was in the Huck’s parking lot.

He was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Police said he had been shot in the leg and in the torso.

The shooting remains under investigation.
