Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Tom Brady once again orchestrated a vintage performance in his team's home clash with the Atlanta Falcons in Week 2.
Brady recorded five passing touchdowns and connected with 10 different Buccaneers players over the course of the game, as he had many questioning if he is actually 44 years old.
After such a commanding performance, Brady still believes that there is much for him to improve and work on at this stage in the season, which he opened up about following the Buccaneers' 48-25 home win over the Falcons.
“We're 2-0, so that's the most important thing for me,” Brady said. “I know I could play better. I could make some better throws. I had some more opportunities today to make some throws and missed AB (Antonio Brown) a few times. Had some other reads I should have done a better job on.
“You know we'll keep working at it and keep getting into football shape.”
These comments may catch the attention of defensive coaches across the league, especially as Brady has recorded nine passing touchdowns over Tampa Bay's opening two games of the season. To hear that the seven-time Super Bowl winner still sees room for improvement in his game sure will leave many such coaches feeling helpless.
Even as many expected the Buccaneers' offense to regress following last season's Super Bowl-winning run, this has yet come to fruition so far this year, as they currently boast the best offense in the league with a 39.5 points per game average.
As Brady mentioned, Tampa Bay will have a pair of major road tests upcoming against the Los Angeles Rams and New England Patriots. The latter matchup will surely be a game to watch as Brady will clash with his former team in the Patriots for the first time in his career.
