The New York Knicks have had a quieter NBA offseason than many thought that they would. Possessing the most cap space in the league and good draft capital, many expected New York would swing for the fences.

Instead, they stuck to their plan and continued the return to respectability. The big move never came, but Leon Rose still managed to add more assets for the future and improved the roster for the upcoming season.

The Knicks entered the 2021 NBA Draft with three overall selections. They left with four players, Quentin Grimes, Rokas Jakubaitis, Deuce McBride and Jericho Sims. A future first-round pick and a future second round pick were added to their war chest as well.

In free agency, the biggest move the Knicks made was acquiring Evan Fournier. Looking to get a traded player exception, the Boston Celtics sent two second-round picks to New York to make it a sign-and-trade deal. Kemba Walker was also signed following his buyout from the Oklahoma City Thunder.

Those two will presumably replace Elfrid Payton and Reggie Bullock in the starting lineup. The offensive woes the Knicks had at times last season will be less persistent with those two in the lineup.
