Jill Dillard DRAGGED For Taking Advantage Of The Duggar Family Name
While former Counting On star Jill Dillard appears to want some space from the Duggar family, she still continues to use their last name. In a recent social media post, she seemed to use the Duggar name to her benefit. Now, she’s being slammed on social media for this decision. So, what’s going on?

As we’ve reported, Jill has been making her own decisions and defying her parents in many different ways. Over the years, she’s changed up her style, started drinking alcohol, sent her son to public school, and more. These are things her parents Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar wouldn’t necessarily approve of, however. This all happened after Jill and Derick quit Counting On.
While it’s unclear what the true reason is that Jill and Derick left the family’s show, she has spoken out about not being properly compensated for her time on Counting On. The show has since been canceled.
It seems like Jill and Derick haven’t entirely isolated themselves from the Duggars, as they still spend some time with them. But Jill has shared that they have had to set boundaries, revealing that her parents aren’t invited to everything.

Though Jill and Derick are keeping their distance from Jill’s parents, she’s continuing to use the Duggar name for her benefit, it seems. In a recent social media post, Jill promoted a thrift store near her home in Arkansas. Over the past couple of years, she has shared other posts about the thrift store.
In the video, Jill and her son Samuel go shopping for fall decor. Along with the video, she used a handful of hashtags. Interestingly, she used #Duggar and #CountingOn in her post. She also has her maiden name in her profile on Instagram,
On Reddit, users began talking about Jill’s use of her family’s name. One writes, “Oh, Jill. Have some pride. If I were her, I’d die before hashtagging the show (which is CANCELED, BTW.)”
Another adds, “Jill has used that hashtag for a long time. She knows her parents’ brand gets her attention so she takes advantage of that.”
Someone else writes, “Jill is making some progress but she still has her greedy hands stuck out to catch any leftover benefits from Counting On’s drooling super fans to mail them gift cards and freebies to their PO box and possibly buy any of the grifter crap she tags in her Instagram posts. Heaven forbid either adult in that household should work part time or something drastic like full time for a paycheck and benefits.”
