Santa Barbara anti-vaccine group participates in 4th Worldwide Rally for Freedom

SANTA BARBARA, Calif. - Residents in Santa Barbara united against vaccine mandates as part of a Worldwide Rally for Freedom on Saturday.

The rally started at Stearns Wharf where more than 100 people marched for their rights to medical freedom.

The march ended at De La Guerra Plaza where a Freedom Festival was set up with food and music.

Speakers also came out to share their concerns and opinions about California's approach to COVID-19.

Many said they were worried the state would call for even stricter vaccine mandates and restrictions as COVID-19 cases continue to climb once again.

"I just feel that it's experimental and I don't feel like it's safe," said protestor Brenda Torres.

"I'm here specifically for not being injected with something that I believe could harm me," said another protestor Melissa Richardson.

The rally was organized by Stand Up Santa Barbara, a small group of local, action-oriented citizens who galvanized around pandemic issues such as mandated vaccines, mandatory lockdowns and health freedoms.

This marks the fourth Worldwide Rally for Freedom that Santa Barbara residents have participated in.

Each scheduled rally joins forces with groups in over 200 cities in over 40 countries around the world taking a stand for medical freedom.
