A Navy plane crashed into a Texas neighborhood during a training exercise on Sunday. Two pilots ejected from the aircraft and were taken to hospitals with injuries, the Fort Worth Star-Telegram reported.
The incident occurred around 11 a.m. local time in the Tejas Trails neighborhood of Lake Worth, Texas, according to the newspaper.
According to authorities, no residents were injured. Three homes were, however, damaged extensively by debris from the crash, forcing some families to relocate. The crash also knocked out power for a further 44 homes in the area, according to the Associated Press.
Facebook user Chastity Benne posted two videos to social media showing a plume of smoke emanating from the crash site.

"I cannot believe we just saw a plane crash into the neighborhood in lake worth!" Benne wrote in her post. "Please pray for the people that not only had to jump/were ejected from their deaths but all the people that were in the house that it crashed into!"
One of the pilots who ejected from the aircraft landed in a nearby neighborhood, while the other got their parachute caught up in power lines. Both were taken to hospitals for treatment, one being in critical condition and the other in serious condition, according to officials.
The identities of the pilots have not yet been released to the public, but they were reportedly an instructor pilot and a student.
"As a proud military community with a long tradition of supporting military aviation, we understand the sacrifices our service members make on a daily basis to keep our country safe," the Lake Worth Police Department said in a statement. "Our thoughts and prayers are with the brave aviators who were hurt, and wish them a speedy recovery."
The crash occurred during a training exercise in a jet designated for training. The craft took off from Corpus Christi International Airport and was assigned to Training Wing 2 at the Kingsville, Texas, Naval Air Station, ABC 13 reported.
The Tejas Trails neighborhood is near Fort Worth's Naval Air Station Joint Reserve Base. The military has designated the neighborhood as a potential accident zone due to its proximity to an area where planes take off and land.
Newsweek has reached out to the Navy Reserve for comment.
In a statement posted to Facebook, the Chief of Naval Air Training confirmed several details about the incident and the craft involved.
"Today at approximately 11:15 a.m. CDT, a Navy T-45C Goshawk jet trainer aircraft assigned to Training Air Wing 2 at Naval Air Station Kingsville, Texas, crashed in Lake Worth, Texas, approximately two miles northeast of Joint Reserve Base Fort Worth," the statement read. "The aircraft impacted the ground in a civilian neighborhood. Emergency services responded to the scene. The Navy is cooperating with local authorities. The incident is under investigation. The pilots were conducting a routine training flight that originated from Corpus Christi International Airport. The cause of the crash is unknown. The safety team is en-route for damage assessment."
