Sunshine and light winds meant perfect conditions for Saturday’s fifth annual Cruise into Bouton car show fundraiser for the Crisis Intervention and Advocacy Center.

The spirited crowd of about 100 inspected about 50 classic vehicles and enjoyed food and drinks at the Rusty Sprocket Tavern and live music provided by the Whiskey Bizkit band.

Registration for vehicles in the car show was $15, and a chili-cooking contest meant Coney hot dogs in abundance. All proceeds from the annual event support the Crisis Intervention and Advocacy Center, with Dallas County offices in Perry and Adel as well as Adair, Adams, Clarke, Decatur, Guthrie, Madison, Ringgold, Taylor and Union counties.

Crisis Intervention and Advocacy Center serves victims and survivors of domestic abuse, sexual assault and homelessness. They can be reached 24 hours a day at 1-800-400-4884. Their services, including housing assistance and addiction support, are free and anonymous.
